All Great Escape locations will be open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday, 11/28 to start our 3-day 25% off-all-merchandise sale. (Sale will continue during our regular hours on Saturday and Sunday.)

Back Issue Comic Books, used Trade Paperbacks, Hardcovers, Graphic Novels, Grab Bags & Sale Comics will be 35% off (an additional 10% off our already everyday low price of 25% off on these).

We'll also be offering exclusive Black Friday Record Store Day releases from Miles Davis, The Beatles, the "Frozen" Soundtrack, David Bowie, Green Day, The Doors, Government Mule, The Ramones, Metallica, Grateful Dead, Velvet Underground and more. (Record Store Day releases are exempt from 25% discount.)

Note: our Louisville location will not be able to actually ring up Record Store Day purchases until 8 a.m. (Louisville customers may go ahead and select items as early as 7 a.m., but official Record Store Day rules state that we cannot ring you out until 8:00 a.m., Eastern time. All three other Great Escape stores, of course, can ring these up any time after we open at 7 a.m.)

8 a.m. is the now the official sell-through time for Record Store Day titles at our Louisville store

Hey, Record Store Day shoppers-

We're sorry to mention that we found out recently that we can't sell Record Store Day titles at 7 a.m. at our Louisville location, as we thought we could previously. Since our company is headquartered in the central time zone, we made the mistake of not making the adjustment for the Louisville store being one hour ahead of our other locations. (Official time is 8 a.m.- and we can't break this sell-through time, or we risk not being able to receive Record Store Day titles in the future.)

Many apologies for this mistake; we will still be opening our store on Black Friday at 7 a.m.- which will allow you to shop and make decisions about which titles you'd like to buy- but we won't be able to ring these purchases through the register until 8 a.m.

Again, sorry for the confusion.
