TGE NASHVILLE: Bell Witch expert Pat Fitzhugh storytelling/book signing: THU, 10/24
Paranormal researcher, Bell Witch expert and author, Pat Fitzhugh, will appear at the Nashville location of The Great Escape to tell stories and sign his books about the legendary Bell Witch of Tennessee on Thursday, October 24. Fitzhugh will tell stories about the witch and take questions from the audience at 7 p.m., followed by a book signing at 8 p.m.
Pat Fitzhugh is known for his roles on A&E’s Cursed: The Bell Witch, The Learning Channel’s Night Visitors, Turner South’s Liars & Legends, The Travel Channel’s Most Terrifying Places in America 2, and the 2006 Hollywood motion picture, An American Haunting, starring Sissy Spacek and Donald Sutherland.
He is also known for his books about the legends and lore of the American South. His works include The Bell Witch Haunting, Our Family Trouble (foreword / annotations), Weird U.S. (contributing author), Ghostly Cries From Dixie, and The Bell Witch: The Full Account. He also penned the foreword to Lori Crane's The Legend of Stuckey's Bridge, which became an Amazon bestseller and was recently published as an audio book.
Fitzhugh took an interest in ghost stories early on, and along the way, developed a keen interest in Tennessee’s infamous "Bell Witch" legend, which became one of his early research projects. His research on the topic spans four decades. As an adult, he researches America’s most historic and creepy locations, teaches paranormal and critical thinking classes, and writes books.
A sought-after paranormal researcher and critical thinking advocate, Fitzhugh has lectured at bookstores, libraries, conventions, and universities across the United States, and has done over 200 radio and TV appearances in his four-decade career.
When he’s not writing thought-provoking books or sharing his research with others, Pat Fitzhugh enjoys taking road trips to weird places and working as a session guitarist in Nashville.
