8,000 newly-purchased DVDs at Great Escape Charlotte Ave. this SAT, 4/23 & SUN, 4/24
Hey, folks- we wanted to remind you of the
grand unveiling that takes place this weekend in our special events room at The Great Escape
Charlotte Ave.- of 8,000 newly-purchased DVDs, plus
thousands of Books,
Magazines, Lobby Cards & Movie
Stills.
And just to make things even more fun, we‘ll also be taking 20% off all Movie Items on our regular sales floor that same day (DVDs, VHS and Laserdiscs).*
The Barker Collection (which represents a lifetime labor of love for the late Neil Barker, Jr.) consists of 8,000 DVDs that contain many box sets- and is mainly made up of 1950s-1970s Movie & Television series. (Many rare and out-of-print titles are included.)
The thousands of magazines range from the 1940s to the present- and include both fan titles (Screen Stories, Movie World, etc.) and a variety of more esoteric foreign titles, and publications that focus on filmmaking.
The equally huge selection of books includes biographies of both actors & directors, genre-specific titles, scholarly critiques and more.
