Hey, folks- we wanted to remind you of the grand unveiling that takes place this weekend in our special events room at The Great Escape Louisville- of 7,000 newly-purchased DVDs, plus a large selection of Books & Magazines.

And just to make things even more fun, we‘ll also be taking 20% off all Movie Items on our regular sales floor that same day (DVDs, VHS and Laserdiscs).*

This special selection from The Barker Collection (which represents a lifetime labor of love for the late Neil Barker, Jr.) consists of 7,000 DVDs that contain many box sets- and is mainly made up of 1950s-1970s Movie & Television series. (Many rare and out-of-print titles are included.)

The large group of magazines range from the 1940s to the present- and include both fan titles (Screen Stories, Movie World, etc.) and a variety of more esoteric foreign titles, and publications that focus on filmmaking.

The selection of books includes biographies of both actors & directors, genre-specific titles, scholarly critiques and more.

This will be a once-in-a lifetime opportunity for you film aficionados to pick up a large number of DVDs, magazines and books that you may never have seen before that focus on this subject (and may not see again anytime in the near future)- and also to acquire some DVDs, VHS & Laserdiscs from our regular sales floor for 20% off- so make sure not to miss this one!

This event takes place at The Great Escape‘s Louisville location only this SAT, 6/18 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and SUN, 6/19 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (our regular hours during these two days.)
