The Great Escape is proud to present the Avatar Collection - the amazing personal collection of Raymond Dowdell, Jr., the owner of Avatar Records in Kentucky. After Mr. Dowdell passed away earlier this year, The Great Escape acquired his massive collection built over 40 years as a music fan and record-store owner. Located at 5400 Charlotte Ave, Nashville TN, 37209, this store has ample room to contain the 11,000+ LPs, 8,000+ CDs, hundreds of music DVD and VHS titles, magazines, framed prints that comprise this remarkable collection. Currently select titles from the collection are being sold on eBay, which you may find at our eBay store. On Saturday November 28th, 2009, the remainder of the collection will be put out for sale at The Great Escape Charlotte.
