We've been having a great time in 2014 seeing you at all the special events that we've been hosting- and we wanted to thank you for helping us start out the year right!
Now, here's another one: The Great Escape's Charlotte Avenue Superstore will be hosting a $1 Comic Book Blowout Sale this SAT, 3/1 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. (regular hours).
We'll be packing our special events room with 1,000s & 1,000s of premium $1 back issue comics (regularly priced between $2.99 - $9.99 each)- many of which have never been offered for sale before (having been pulled from our comics backup)- and many are also in like-new, unread condition!
Since our sale will be happening during the entire time that we're open Saturday, you'll have a full 11 hours to shop in dozens & dozens of boxes of premium $1 titles. (With all these great titles marked at the ridiculously low price of only $1 each, this will be a great opportunity for readers and collectors alike to either fill holes in their collection at this super-bargain discount- or try some new titles that they've never read before!)

Wednesday, 3/5, we'll be having a special graphic novel
signing at The Great Escape Charlotte Avenue with writer Jason
Neulander- whose "Intergalactic Nemesis" is both a
"regular", hard copy graphic novel and a "live action" graphic novel; the latter
consists of more than 1,250 original, hand-drawn comic book images that are
projected onto a screen in a theatre, while three actors voice dozens of
characters, a sound man creates hundreds of live sound effects, and a pianist
accents every move with an original score in this tale of a no-nonsense reporter
and her cohorts struggling to save Earth from the threat of an alien invasion.
(Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars and
pulp serials of the 1930s inspire this colorful adventure,
which is currently touring the world- and has been featured on the Conan
O'Brien show, in 2013.)Signing takes place at 4:30 p.m. on WED, 3/5 at The Great Escape Charlotte Avenue.
