Free Comic Book Day 2017 is almost upon us, and naturally we want you to join us for our 2-day celebration! This event will be taking place at all locations of The Great Escape where you can pick up 5 free comic books* per person per day.
Because we didn't want people waiting in line to choose their free comic books, we tried something new last year that we feel was very successful. All of our free comic books will be laid out for you to peruse in an open space, therefore no more waiting in a line to choose which ones you want. We will have so many free comic books that you just may have a hard time making up your mind!
All of our locations will have over 100 titles to choose from, including- but not limited to:
- Betty & Veronica
- Marvel’s Secret Empire
- Star Trek
- Doctor Who
- Rick & Morty
- Wonder Woman
- Zelda
- Simpsons
- & more!
If you join us for both days of this event, you could get a total of 10 free comics! Want to leave with more than 10 free comics? Well, if you were to come in costume you would receive 1 additional free comic, and for every $10 you spend on merchandise you can get another free comic. (Just keep your receipt after checking out and show it to our staff in our free comic books area to get your additional free comics.)
We are still not done, however, as there will also be 40% OFF all BACK ISSUE COMIC BOOKS**! This sale includes all regular Back Issue Comic Books, Used Graphic Novels, Trade Paperbacks, Hardcovers, Sale Comics & Grab Bags. That's an additional 15% off our everyday low price of 25% off on these items!
And, we'll also be taking 20% OFF all COMIC BOOK SUPPLIES, which includes bags, boards, boxes, dividers, etc.
And for you Bowling Green comics fans, here a way to get YET ONE MORE COMIC BOOK: bring in something that you've bought at The Great Escape and let us film you with it for possible use in a future commercial to be shown at one or both of the movie theaters in town! It doesn't matter what the item is, whether it is an LP, Video Game, or Back Issue Comic, bring the item in between the hours of 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and we’ll grab a picture!
